Stupid Verizon

<p>I was just told by a <a href="http://www.verizon.net" title="Verizon Online DSL"> Verizon</a> representative that I could never have DSL in my present location because I am too far from the switch. 3 miles is the distance, and I am closer than that, but oh actual physical distance does not matter, it depends on how they laid the cable. So apparently they played <i>ring around the rosy</i> with a couple of trees along the way to my sub-division. Jerks. and oh by the way, it isn't cost-effective to upgrade your area, because 30-40 new, happy customers isn't worth the effort.</p><p>*sighs in disgust.* Guess I am going to have to move.</p>
